What is a bulk-direct co-op?

Going Green is set up as a bulk-direct operation that prioritises providing tangible benefits to Members and the Planet, over Profit.

We carefully select and work together with suppliers and manufacturers that demonstrate strong commitments to sustainability, selling by the carton or bundles, and simplifying the route-to-market for our Members.

So, instead of paying single-unit pricing, you pay bulk-prices at Going Green.

What Membership Fee pays for?

As a purpose-led co-operative, our main sustainable funding model comes from membership fees, which we've kept as low as possible, to ensure that price is not a barrier to engaging with the co-operative.

Membership fees cover the operating costs of running and doing education around the co-operative. Using this model, we don’t need to attribute any Going Green operating costs onto the products sold through the platform, which means that the prices on Going Green can be kept as low as possible and comparable to less sustainable equivalents.

 

Order Deliveries – How they work?

Orders take 5-7 working days to be delivered.

We operate on a perpetual two-week order-to-delivery cycle. This means that all orders placed from Friday to Thursday, are delivered to customers on the following Thursday or Friday. Orders placed on Wednesdays or Thursday tend to have a 5-day delivery.

Orders are aggregated weekly and sent to suppliers, who freight pre-purchased stock to one of our dispatch hubs. Orders are dispatched to buyers on Wednesdays + Thursday.
