Left chest pocket with a coconut shell button.  The only part of this vest that will not naturally breakdown, is the reflective tape. Compared to 100% polyester vests that will take hundreds of years to breakdown

Description

The Compostable Day & Night high vis Vest is made from 100% Lyocell Wood Pulp with natural cooling and moisture wicking (quick dry) functionality. This fabric is rated as compostable and biodegradable in marine, industrial, and domestic environments. Meets all New Zealand and Australian safety standards.

Lyocell fibers feature moisture management & anti-bacterial properties that reduce odours & keep you feeling fresh and dry through out the day. These are all found naturally and is not treated with chemicals that wash out over time. They are there for the life of the garment. Rated as both compostable and biodegradable, this is the most environmentally friendly safety vest available.

Brand's Sustainability Overview

All Loop Workwear fabrics follow sustainable production processes to reduce harmful emissions from entering the environment. The 100% recycled polyester fabric diverts PET plastic bottles that were destined for landfill into a practical second purpose. It also holds GRS (Global Recycling Standard) certification.

In just one order of 300 polo shirts, 5400 plastic bottles (that’s 190kg of plastic waste) are preventeed from going into landfill. Plus, they were all made via a no petrol production process.

Garment end of life is also a top priority for Loop Workwear. They have an environmentally responsible closed loop production process for biodegradable and compostable fabrics.

The production process for Loop Workwear high vis safety jackets and vests is low impact and at the end of a garment’s life, it can be returned to nature in just 90 days via composting.
